JLG Forklift Parts - After retiring in the late 1960's, John L. Grove started on a cross country RV expedition. After spending many years establishing his family built crane company with his brother, John had no idea that this trip would bring about the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision material handling technologies was the end consequence of a road trip.

Whilst on their journey, John spent time talking to previous business associates whom the Groves stopped to visit along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic event-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were visiting Hoover Dam- John uncovered a vast market for a product that could promptly and safely elevate individuals in the air to accomplish maintenance and other building functions.

Upon returning from their travels, John formed a joint venture with two friends and acquired a metal fabricating company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, opening operations with a crew of twenty workers, they designed and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. The company incorporates many of the simple design essentials of that original lift into existing versions.

Since then, JLG Forklifts have come a long way from when Mr. John L. Grove came back from his fatefull cross-country journey and since the first JLG aerial platform entered the market. As of today, the company has expanded itself into several international marketplaces and continues to cultivate modern machinery to ensure that consumers are able to become safer and more well-organized within their workplace.
